’72 Fender Vintage Telecaster Custom Reissue
Overview
This American Vintage ’72 Tele Custom sports an ash body with a gloss lacquer finish and 3-tone sunburst paint job. The C shaped neck has 21 vintage style frets, a gloss lacquer finish and a 7.25″ radius on the fretboard. Many period-correct details proliferate, including a three-bolt neck plate, bullet style truss rod and vintage tuners. Electronically, the Fender Wide Range humbucking is voiced to sound like an early 70’s pickup, and the American Vintage Tele Single Coil in the bridge has all the shimmery, twangy goodness that defines great Tele tone. This model isn’t currently in Fender’s lineup, so you won’t see many new ones floating around.
