Santa Cruz Guitar Company at plectrum|nyc

The name Santa Cruz is to be found all over High-End Acoustic guitar blogs and there is a reason for it:

Their guitars are simply that good.

The man behind them, Richard Hoover, sought to create modern Acoustics that sound and feel like Golden Age Vintage guitars from the 30’s and 40’s.  Santa Cruz guitars are noticeably light in weight and during their building process exceptionable care is given to hand tuning of tops, braces and critical building parts to ensure maximum resonance and tone. There is, of course,  much more to say and we encourage you to read up on SCGC.

Many of the world’s best players, including Eric Clapton, Doc Watson, Tony Rice, Warren Haynes, Elvis Costello and others play Santa Cruces.

We have a D28 type Santa Cruz in Brazilian Rosewood, the exceptional Tony Rice Pro model. Also the 1929-000 12-fret Mahogany and the the 12-fret Slope Shoulder RS model, also in Mahogany, ready for you to experience.

All of them would make for a very fine Acoustic guitar to bring to an important studio or songwriting session!
